                      About the Richmond-Hopewell Section

                      The Richmond-Hopewell Section was established in 1955 by Brendon P. White
                      of Allied Chemical, located in Hopewell VA. and William Reynolds of Honeywell
                      in Richmond VA. Throughout the years our membership has grown to where it is
                      today of about 400 members.

                      Our Section has monthly meetings from September till May. We currently meet on the
                      3rd Tuesday of each month. We usually have various manufactures' displaying
                      instruments and/or control equipment plus a guest speaker giving a presentation on
                      interesting topics pertinent to new and innovative developments within our industry.

                      We also plan tours from local plants or facilities willing to broaden our knowledge in
                      specific instrument and control applications enabling us to have first hand experience and
                      explanations of these application in there working environment

                       To be a contributing member of the foremost worldwide society involved with the theory,
                       design, manufacture and use of Instrumentation, Computers and Systems in the various sciences
                       and technologies, and to advance its members competence, professionalism and recognition.
